Santarém school lunch monitoring featured in Porvir

We were proud to see our partners at Project SOL and the Student Movement Pact for Education in Pará featured in a new focus section published by Porvir on student participation in schools.
Porvir, which focuses on innovation in education in Brazil, released a guide for educators on how to involve students in decision making processes and foster a culture of engagement on campus. The guide includes several case studies including this overview of the Student Movement’s campaign to monitor the quality of school lunches in Santarém and advocate for students’ right to nutrition in public schools throughout the city.
We hope this work will be a model to schools throughout the country looking to launch similar initiatives to promote student engagement and protagonism in addressing pressing issues on campus!
